God keeps us focused on things unseen cause we are so easily snared by the things we can see. When Peter looked away from himself and trusted only God, he became "fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised". Rom. 4:21
This is what God is teaching us and He has to keep results that are encouraging away from us until we learn to trust Him without the results!!!!! Then He loves to make His Word as real to us in actuality as it is in our faith. A.B. Simpson


I need, I want, I have to have.....
The things that are above.
Cause when I focus on myself
I miss the love of God.

For if I pray in deepest need
And yet do not receive,
I keep my thoughts within His Word
knowing He will lead.

If I think that in some small way
That I have brought results,
I will surely miss the love of God
Adding to my many faults.

So I will trust the Lord my God
my faith to always grow....
His Power, His Love, His Tenderness
is all I need to know.

I JUST HAD AN AHA MOMENT!!!! I AM SITTING AT MY COMPUTER WHILE SPRINKLING THE BACKYARD WITH THE SPRINKLER(VERY DRY HERE IN CINCY AND MY FLOWERS ARE SUFFERING) AND I NOTICED THE BIRDS STANDING UNDER THE SPRINKLER. THEY STAND WAITING PATIENTLY FOR THE WATER TO FALL ONTO THEIR LITTLE BODIES AND ONCE THE WATER PASSES BY, THEY FLAP THEIR WINGS AND HOP AROUND IT SATISFACTION FOR A FEW SECONDS. THEN THEY STAND STILL AGAIN WAITING FOR THE NEXT FEW WATERS TO DROP ON THEIR LITTLE BODIES AGAIN. AND I STARTED THINKING ABOUT ME THAT IF I WOULD JUST STAND STILL AND WAIT PATIENTLY, GOD WILL BLESS ME WITH WATER FROM HEAVEN BUT INSTEAD I TAKE THINGS INTO MY OWN HANDS. I COULD JUST FLAP MY WINGS IN JOY AND HOP AROUND IN GOD'S LOVE WAITING FOR HIS BLESSINGS TO SHOWER DOWN ON ME. I NEED TO TURN THINGS OVER TO GOD AND LEAVE THEM IN HIS CAPABLE HANDS AND TRUST HE WILL WATER ME TOO. I HEARD TODAY, WORTHY ACTIONS BRING BLESSINGS. WORTHLESS ACTIONS......WE KNOW WHAT THAT BRINGS. I'M GOING TO BATH IN THE SPRINKLER WITH THE BIRDS.

My Family!

Here are my beautiful daughters. I created this blog to share my thoughts with them...since I can't talk to them for 4 hours on the phone everyday. But, I also hope to be a blessing to their friends (like Lauren) and others who happen upon my blog. Hopefully Dana looks me up too! :) My eldest daughter, Casey, lives in Myrtle Beach now (lucky) and Kimmi lives in Austin, TX (also lucky). I miss them but I am excited about sharing my thoughts (whether silly or inspirational) with them everyday. It is as close to being inside my head as they will get. I hope it isn't too scary for you others who read this!
